Who am I?
I would say that I am an artfashion designer, but I know I still have a lot to learn in order to get there. I neither do fashion ,nor art...I create artfashion, the kind of pieces that you like or dislike, there's no middle way. The items are designed for certain types of women, who make a statement trough their attitude!
Where do I come from?
I live in Romania, and was born in Brasov - the heart of Transylvania, where I graduated from the Hans Mattis- Teutsch Highschool of Arts specialized in traditional graphics. I am a graduate of the Faculty of Arts & Design, department of Textiles- Fashion Design, Timisoara and I am currently attending an MA program in Fashion Design at UAD ,Cluj Napoca.
Where do I go from here?
From now on I am focusing on my education in arts and fashion, developing different projects concerning the fusion of the two domains.I could say that I am drawing my way up.
About my artwork...
I actually imagine...it all starts with that, I imagine clothes, no matter what I am doing- drinking tea or maybe talking to someone it just comes..first the sparkle..witch turns into an idea, then I start thinking how to materialize the whole concept and that's the part when I start drawing..and I love that..it is my favorite part of them all but it also makes it more complicated because other ideas are coming into my mind and I have to decide...but I don't. I draw them all..and yes..I love that..so many possibilities, so many colors, so many cuts...the whole process is just great...and then I think about the fabrics, rigid, fluid, with different textures and prints or plane..one thing is for sure: I love simplicity and in creating my fashion sketches I think of them as art drawings building the costume as a composition. Alternating complexity with simplicity shapes style into my creations.
